Dragon Skin armor takings shots from M107 Barrett?

I've seen the dragon skin take on numerous shots from ak47, mp5, m4, and m67 grenades. But I wondering how many shots the dragon skin can take from the m107? thanks

There is no body armor on the market currently able to take a direct hit from a .50 round. Period.

Reply:Because the most common ammunition used by infantry in combat is the 5.56mm or the 7.62mm. 5.56 is now the NATO standard round, while the 7.62 is used in the AK-47, and belt fed machine gun like the M60. M107 is a 50cal round, not a lot that can stop a bullet that big with out being reinforced armor.
Reply:i have a 50.cal BMG rifle and there is not much that can stop it i think it would put holes in some dragon skin

Reply:Dragon skin would get tore to pieces by a .50 cal. Testing has also shown that the Dragon Skin is less effective against fragmentations and shrapnel than the current Interceptor Body Armor and its a wash as far as small arms is concerned. That is the main reason why Point Blank won the Army's armor contract again in 2005.
Reply:There is a lot of hype out there over this new body armor. As far as taking a shot from something that big, all their claims say it would probably take the shot.





I just wouldn't want to be wearing it when it did. Everyone forgets to mention that yeah, it takes a beating but the trauma is going to turn whatever is wearing it to jello.





Take for example that we have finally figured out that soldiers caught up in IED's might look fine on the outside but be scrambled on the inside. Traumatic Brain Injury.
Reply:dragon skin would not be able to stop any 50 cal but it is still the best body armor in my point of veiw. it could slow down the bullet but not to the point of saving some less they had god on there side.
