Is skin depigmenting safe?

I'm curious to whiten my skin, does anyone know of a safe way to achieve fairer skin?
Is skin depigmenting safe?
ummm no...why would you want to do that??
Is skin depigmenting safe?
Who are you... Michel Jackson? lol.
Reply:Look at pics of people who have done it. DO you like what you see? If so, then it is for you. Some artists have done it, what do you think? What is wrong with your skin color? Could you be better off getting help with accepting who you are? Only you know the answers to that.

skin problems

Hard, Scaly,Discoloured Skin only on Knee area?

Do any of you more mature ladies recognize this.

"Hard, scaly, discoloured hairy skin developing,in my case, around right knee area."

My legs are virtually hairless but this patch of skin grows hairs where none were before.

My other knee is quite free from the above symptoms.

I have tried pumice stone and lemon to bleach the skin as it looks as though I have a dirty knee.

However nothing works and I can no longer wear shorts in the Summer.

If anyone has any information on this and how it should be dealt with - I would be most grateful to hear from you.
Hard, Scaly,Discoloured Skin only on Knee area?
I suggest you see a dermatologist. I usually have suggestions but in this case I don't recognize the symptoms you describe, but a dermatologist will know.

In the meantime, stop stressing your skin, that will not help.

Good luck and best wishes.

Hard, Scaly,Discoloured Skin only on Knee area?
Lady , you know the more grass you weed , more it sprouts,

Now you should have left it like there instead of messing up with it.

why do you want to mess up with it . ultimately someone will advise laser surgery and then some will threaten with cancer diagnosis.

better search for some really qualifie Homeopathic doctor and bette ,a lady. who will appreciate your feelings and treat your problem.
Reply:Um.... My best guess would be exfoliate (ie a scrub or the pumice you mentioned... ouch) and then moisturize heavily... if it's grossly dry then exfoliating or using something acidic like lemon, without following up with a heavy moisturizer, will only make your problem worse. You need to purge the dead skin cells and then provide the area with all the moisture it's lacking so that the new skin cells can be hydrated and normal.

Did you have chicken pox as a kid? If not and you were exposed as an adult, I guess there's a chance you could have shingles. I'm not sure the details of what shingles look like so I'm not sure.

But the fact that it's only on one knee is a little strange. Might want to see a doctor just to be sure!

My skin is really lose, whats wrong with me?

i have been dierting for a wile now and i think it might hae somthing to do with that i can strech my tummy about 2 inch im size 8

is the 'skin' fat or is it just skin?
My skin is really lose, whats wrong with me?
Could be the dieting. Skin does not shrink very fast, That's one reason why you shouldn't lose weight real fast.

You have a layer of fat under the skin, lose at and you wrinkle and sag, like us old people.
My skin is really lose, whats wrong with me?
skin. you may be losing weight too quickly and your body needs to catch up with you.
Reply:Your skin is loose because you lost weight. It will tighten up but it is uncertain how much
Reply:what was your size before? did you drop weight fast? if you were signifcantly bigger before than you are now and you lost the weight quickly then it may be that your skin has not had time to shrink. It happens when people lose weight to quickly. You could try some toning exercises to build up muscle and tone the muscle you have... that mostly worked for me...
Reply:It is loose skin. Skin thats been stretched loses it's elasticity, so now that you have lost some weight, it can't shrink back to what it used to be. It is something you will always have, unless you have some surgery to tighten it, or you could exercise to tighten it all up... Good luck.;)

Try the dermotox soap and shampoo and try renue skin cleanser.
Reply:OK, for the pimples get a good cleanser from a pharmacy. Use it every morning and night. Watch your diet. Chocolate, coke, oily food, and food high in fat, create pimples. Any good results will show up after 2 weeks. If the problem is REAL bad go toa dermontalogist, but if ur young 10-20, its mostly hormonal.

~I have gone through this myself~
Reply:Proactive...it's great!
Reply:Nivea has a facial wash. It has blue colour and it's dedicated to oily/mixed skin, it cleans the pores very well and it refreshes, too. After washing your face with that (it's foamy), use the lotion from Nivea for same type of skin. I think it's made of algae and it looks blue, too. Don't use face creams. You skin would look perfect with cleanser and tonic lotion only. They are not very expensive. I use the pink version from Nivea, cause my problem is the opposite: my skin gets dry quickly and I am very pleased of the result.
Reply:don't touch your face or play with your hair. wash with a good oil free cleanser like neutrogena. go to your doctor and ask for prescription cremes or anti-biotics to control the acne. i have had to do this all my life and just know it does get better. worse case scenario your doctor will send you to a dermatologist.
Reply:dont eat oily foods..
Reply:for oily skin, put loose powder before you go out and make sure you retouch if it become oily again. for pimples wash your face after long exposure outside. also try to wash your face before you sleep. ask help from your local dermatologist. dont try any product without their approval. the best way to cure pimples is to avoid it by eating right and sleeping 8 hrs a day. live your lifeand dont worry too much.
Reply:Very good question. I started using cleanser, toner %26amp; moisturiser of reputed make %26amp; I got excellent results . If you want demo of that i can give you demo in mumbai. You can email me ---- parepran@hotmail.com
Reply:No need to worry. All you have to do is lessen your intake of carbohydrates. No carbonated drinks. Wash your face with water only every 2 hours. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Just eat fruits at night to keep you cool. Don't eat fatty, salty and oily food. Drink more water. And Coconut water is highly recommendable, too.
Reply:Hi, have u ever tried to consume neem capsules? it cleanses ur blood n eventually reduce pimples. if u cnt do that, then i suggest u wash ur face regularly with a gud soap that's appropriate to ur skin. sometimes, dandruff also are known to be z cause of pimples, so if u have them, try to get rid of them n see. good luck
Reply:I like to use Beauty Control, they have some great products for skin care...I use there whole system. It has worked for me and My skin is very picky it tends to break out with alot of soaps or makeup. Look them up and try them or see if anyone around u sells it..Good luck
Reply:the answer is mud. i know that it will clean and tighten your pores and it also dries the skin and will make it less oily. then go to a good nail salon and get your face waxed it will make your skin drier too. you will come out looking like royalty babe
Reply:use a paper bag over ur face (draw eyes, nose and face) or you can put pepperoni's on ur face and lie down in an oven and become a pizza ... make a fat boy happy
Reply:clean ur face every 2 hours......use face wash ..donot use soap...avoid fatty and oily food suring the day.
Reply:Your face is oily for that you have to wash it every 10 to 15 min with cold water and drink 10 to 15 glass of water daily.

Reply:Add a lot of water to your diet. SOmething you're eating all the time will cause oily skin. Just bleech the hair unless you have dark skin. Water cures all, but you also, have to figure out what you are doing in your food intake that is causing this oily complextion.
Reply:u can have acnesol . easily available on medical stores .avoid oily food. drink safi
Reply:- Don't use shop on your face. Only use face wash which is not oily.

- Wash your face with cold water many more times.

- Everyday In the morning U find so many small pimple on your face boil it and wash your face. Don't boil Big pimple. By doing this after some days u will not get pimples on your face.

- Drink more water and eat healthy food like green vegi , fruits. Avoid junk food.
Reply:use arjuna powder, ashwagandha powder with aloevera gel and hydroquinon solution.
Reply:check to see if hav dandruff or not, use a good quality face wash astringent n toner after u wash. use an anti pimple cream before you go to sleep and keep your face clean at all times. drink plenty of water atleast 3 litres if ur in a cold place and atleast 7 litres if your r in a hot place.

for the hair the only option is threading. dont go for waxing or bleaching as this spoils the gentle skin of the face. threading is good, and if done regularly reduces the hair on the face considerably. all the best
Reply:Stop eating junks, oily foods, go for proper diet foods.

Eat lots of water content fruits and vegetables.Say no to anything that's fried.

CONTROL U R TONGUE first.

Eat healthy food.

For the hair growth, in those days our granny used to tell us, use turmeric powder after u wash u r face with soap. granny's method should work. Don't use the Turmeric what we use for cooking. Use Kasthuri Turmeric powder which specifically for this.
Reply:It's best if you go to a dermatologist, or a certified esthetician (person that does facials). They are trained and know more about this.
Reply:Home cure- wash your face with a paste of one spoon of Maida, 2/3 drops of lemon juiceand a little pinch of turmeric paste. Keep it for 10 minutes on your face. then wash off.use sandal paste on your face at night or before afternoon naps, it will have a drying effect on the skin.Don't use moisturisers.Drink 8 glasses of water. Pulsatilla -30-take 1 time in a day(in empty stomach) at 4 globuleseach of 40 no. size. See the change after 15 days. If it improves, stop the medicines and contrinue the face pack and sandal paste.

My skin is reallly oily! any seggestions?

i have awful skin, and even worse acne. i really want to have smooth, healthy skin, but i cant afford anything like proactive, i've already asked my mom. so pllllllease!! i need seggestions, anyone?
My skin is reallly oily! any seggestions?
Remove all make-up before going to bed.Eat plenty of foods that are rich in protein. Include lots of leafy vegetables and fresh fruit. Vitamin B2 can help prevent oily skin, so include good sources of B2 by eating wheat germs, whole grains, beans and nuts.

Drink lots of water to prevent from being hydrated.Use an oil-free moisturiser and use oil-control paper everytime your face is too oily.Grapeseed is great for oily skin.

For your pimples,I advice you to apply Clean n Clear active speed clearing gel.It works fat and it great on ski.Low price too.Use a gentle cleanser containg benzoil peroxide or salicylic acid, not more than two times a day.

Gd luck, hope you get rid of your pimples fast and remember to love the skin you're in!
My skin is reallly oily! any seggestions?
thay have facewash you can get from avon.com and its called porefection it works really good on my skin and also you can get oil sheets from any store such as fredmeyers and/or safeway, walgreens, etc. hope this helped!
Reply:I think you should try blotting paper like the "ELF Shine Eraser" (only $1 I believe at drugstore.com) It removes the oil without messing up your makeup and doesn't leave a residue. You just have to press the paper over your oily areas. But I'm not sure if it will reduce your acne, but I would give it a try!
Reply:One thing I've learned from spending $$$ at dermatologists offices is that you can never keep your face super dry. It is better to balance your skin to prevent breakouts. Wash your face morning and night w/ an oily skin cleanser, then use a toner, then use lotion for acne prone skin. You must also treat from within, meaning by the use of antibiotics. Go to the dr and ask for low dose antibiotics. They will help clear you up. If you have really bad acne, you may have to use Accutane or something like that, but it's very expensive. I hope you have insurance. Tell your parents it's important to get help now from a dr bc you will end up with scars for the rest of your life if you don't treat them now. Good luck.
Reply:Mary Kay is awesome. there are a lot of products for oily skin. my daughter uses it and it works! go onto www.marykay.com to browse.
Reply:I too have oily skin but at the same time it can get to looking dry too. I have some acne and it also looks like dead cells don't get turned over very fast so yeah my skin never looks that clear either. I hate it too. I wear makeup and it temporarily helps but then I take it off and it's so sad. I want to cry a lot of times. But I recently went to the derrmatologist and he prescribed me a benzol peroxide topical cream and an antibiotic that you take twice a day. My skin has improved. He also said that acne is a genetic thing...not based on diet or bad hygiene. People with acne have sticky cells and most produce more oil on the face than ppl without acne. So the sticky cells don't let the oil through and it gets stuck and inflamed. So what he said to me is to drain your pores. This is soooooooooo gross and believe me I want to cry thinking about having to do this. It's disgusting. But get one of those extractors from the drugstore and just run it over your skin like over 5 areas on your forehead, 5 on each cheek, and five on your chin. You don't have to rub it on your actual pimples just over the area to get some of the excess oil and gunk out. That way you get it out before it has a chance to form an inflamed zit! I don't have many zits but mmy pores aren't that clear and though that definitely helps doing that. It will generally just help reduce the number of pimples you get. I know it sucks. Just know that you didn't ask for it. It's a genetic thing. All you can do is treat it and keep it under control. A few other things he told me is that stress and amount of sleep definitely play a factor. Drink plenty of water..try to avoid caffeine and alcohol as these can aggravate them. Don't smoke. Eat healthy..take vitamins..wash twice a day..with a gentle soap..(because if you use a really harsh soap your skin will just compensate and produce more oil because the soap is drying your skin). You need to keep it balanced. Also he said that if you wear makeup DoN'T use Mary Kay products. He didn't say why..but he must have some way of knowing that they aggravate acne. Also use oil-free everything..wash, moisturizer, and makeup. Hang in there. I know it sucks. But with a little dedication and TLC it WILL gradually improve. If you have health insurance a dermatologist appt can be pretty cheap. And I have had doubts from past experience but this time I have seen some results. Good luck.
Reply:I use Neutragena Rapid Clear oil reducing facial cleanser. It keeps my face clear of pimples. i love it! ive used it for the past five years and i have no complaints. You can buy it at walmart for about $6
Reply:us elotion anykind is fine, just make sure you are not illergic to it and wash every day!!!!!!:)
Reply:I used to have oily skin and I have always been bothered about it because my face was always shiny and turns red. My friend suggested that I use cetaphil facial wash. It really works. I've been using it for over 2 years now.
Reply:I am all about using natural ingredients and products to put on your face. Here are a few suggestions that are pretty affordable:

Strawberry Mask :

5-6 Mashed Strawberries mixed with 3tsps of honey. Mix well...then apply to face. Leave on face for about 15 to 20 minutes. Helps with acne and leaves skin feeling soft.

Strawberry Cleanser (oily skin)

录 cup pure aloe vera

2 Tbsp. Plain organic yogurt

Three crushed organic strawberries

录 cup Tbsp. Borax

Mix all ingredients well. Massage into skin gently. Rinse off with

lukewarm water

Coco Mask :

4tbsp of coco powder

4tbs of (WHOLE) milk (must be whole or mask will be too runny)

Mix coco powder and whole milk in a bowl and cover your face with it (its fun!, the mask should look like pudding). Leave on your face for 20 minutes. When your time is done use a warm wash cloth to wipe of mask. Then splash face with cold water. Your skin's pores will be a lot smaller, your oil will be gone, bumpy pimples will be less red and silky smooth

or try.....

Apple Mask

1 Medium apple (grated)

5 Tbsp honey

Mix the grated apple and mix with honey to make a mask. Smooth over skin then let sit for 10 minutes, rinse off with cool water.

Hope this helps!!!!!!!!
Reply:Wash your face frequently with cold water and use a face pack of grated apple. You can find more cheap, effective and natural home remedies for oily skin at the link provided.

Is anyone familiar with a skin disease/affliction which causes tiny fibers protruding from the skin?

A co-worker suffers from some sort of skin disease/affliction which produces tiny red and bluish fibers imbedded in his skin. He spends hours each day with tweezers and a jeweler's loupe picking these tiny fibers from the skin on his hands and fingers.
Is anyone familiar with a skin disease/affliction which causes tiny fibers protruding from the skin?
it's called Morgellons. visit http://morgellons.org for more information.

Of course, it could also be carpet/clothes fibers.

I was a morgellons sufferer!

Yeah, it's really wierd. It starts with a M - i can't remember what it is. There was a special on 20/20 or something last week.

Pale Skin?

I have really pale skin, and I dye my hair black which makes me look even more pale. I don't want to go to a Tanning Salon becuase I heard that bad for your skin. %26amp; Its almost winter where I live. Is there lotions that can make me look tanner?
Pale Skin?
There are a LOT of self tanning lotions out there. Check any drugstore, or even grocery store-- pretty much everyone carries a line or two of sunless tanning products. Some brands: Neutrogena, Jergen's Vaseline, Clarin's, Lancome....
Pale Skin?
No, keep it real with pale skin. It's not a problem and makes you look like a zombie.

After all, isn't that what life is all about?

Hell, I wish I were a zombie.
Reply:Are you serious? You are so lucky, I wish I were pale :( I spent over 500 bucks on whitening products :( I heard that lotions dont give you the even look, so tanning salon is probably a better bet. And why don't you just go to the beach or something?
Reply:You could put coverup.

You can't really change your skin, actualy.

But start wearing happy, preppy colors. Girly.

Even though you look like a zombie to your head to your skin, show off a little of girly.
Reply:no don't do that that is totally cool how you are!!! hair black as the night, skin fair as the day as the persians once said long ago
Reply:Invest in some good gradual fake tan. Make sure you exfoliate first though, or you'll get uneven orange patches x_x

Or you could leave your skin pale. Pale skin looks great.

Join the pale skin club. I understand everything that your going through. I cannot tan if my life depended on it. I don't know if there's anything out there to darken your skin, but what i use is sunless tanning during the summer to get rid of my pasty white skin. But other than that, i have no idea.

there are some roots from plants in angola who can color your skin very dark, you have to put them in a bath and stay in the water for more than 40 minutes......

unfortunately I dont know the name of that root now, I have to check my diary...

MY skin is so sensitive, it easily leaves a scar?

i find it hard to take care of my skin coz even with a simple rashes, my skin leaves a mark or a scar. I can't be careful all the time. Even just with a mosquito bite, it leaves a mark after that and it takes forever to heal. Any advice please. What should i do like home tips
MY skin is so sensitive, it easily leaves a scar?
Vitamins do help in some cases. So you could look online for vitamins for skin. And look at your diet and do quick research to see if there's something unusual about your diet that might be effecting your skin. So, What do you eat? There's lot of info on web. Hard part is finding good ones.

I would be careful with creams and other stuff to put on your skin if it already is so sensitive.
MY skin is so sensitive, it easily leaves a scar?
Have you ever been tested for diabetes? If not, you may want to discuss with your doctor that you take a long time to heal and/or you scar easily.
Reply:You may need to ask a doctor's opinion on this. Your sensitive may be a symptom or cause of something more, so it's better to be sure about it. If you want more information, http://www.skinsosilky.com/skincare/59-s... may be of good help.

I use Avon True Pore-fection products and they seem to help. If you use just one product then I really like the Skin Refining Toner.
Acne skin??pls help??
your probably stuffing your face with greasey fatty foods
Reply:You can try cream that treats scars, usually in the face or first aid aisle. Just check the back to see if it lists acne scars. Also make sure your face wash/soap and moisturizer does not list oil as an ingredient, this causes more breakouts If you don't see an improvement after a few weeks make an appt. with a dermatologist who can give you good perscrition drugs and advice on face washes and moisturizers to clear up your face.

Reply:That first answerer is a total moron. people need to do some research before flapping away. Acne is not caused by fatty, oily foods or from not cleaning your face. Acne just happens to people, most of the time at that puberty stage but sometimes it just happens sometimes past that stage like it did to me out of nowhere. I was THE last person to have to worry about my skin, I was always complimented on my beautiful skin until a year ago out of nowhere I got a zit on my cheek, and thought nothing of it. Well they kept happening one after the other and eventually many at a time (only on my cheeks, weirdly) I was seriosuly depressed cause ppl would say "oh what happened to you!!! u had such beautiful skin!!" People can be really dumb and not realize what they are saying is not helping. I didnt want to go out.

Anyway I gave ProActiv a try and I was one of the lucky ones that it helped. Totally cleared my skin, and along with a new mineral makeup, I can finally say I looke good again and feel good. The only thing is that I now have acne scars from touching my face, so learn from me-- dont do that!! I need the makeup now for the scars but they are very slowly fading and at least no more bumps and nastiness.

Try it out, or try some other ones til you find one that works for you. You can try a dermatologist, but mine didnt help me. I stopped going to him and just tried ProActiv.

Good luck, I know how you feel!!
Reply:I had the same problem and I got rid permanently of it in 4 months. I'll suggest a resource site which really helped me

Murad made my skin worse?

so i had like a few breakouts on my forhead before using murad and after i started using it like a week later i got breakouts and white heads on my face where i would NEVER normally get them [cheeks, chin, near ears] and then i read about the whole "purging process" where u start breaking out alot because of the prouct and then over time ur skin will be clearer. well it just made it alot worse and now im pissed and feel so bad cus if i didnt use this then my skin wouldnt be like this. ive stopped using this product and my question is if i stopped using it will my skin go back to the way it was or will it have long term effects and did anyone else go through this with murad and how long did it take to get better
Murad made my skin worse?
Yeah I ve been through this bull and unfortunately even though you stop this bad creams, your pimples do not go away like you would want or expect them to go! You have two choices whether you be patient until they go (which takes time of course), or you go to the dermatologist to get some tetracycline so it would help to heal your pimples!

I hate pimples!!!

Take care ;-) and good luck!

Body Skin Problem?

I have a 14 months baby boy. For the last 3 days he is suffering from some kind of body skin problem. Some kind of water filled transparent balls has come up on his body skin.

Please tell me what is that problem and how to solve it?

What is the treatment %26amp; precaution for food, medicine etc.
Body Skin Problem?
Sounds like he has the chickenpox. This rash is very contagious. Take him to the doctor. Calamine lotion dabbed on the lesions with a cotton ball will help the itch and dry up the pustules.

Im only 13 but i think they might be boils! I am not really sure but if they keep popping up you need to take him to the doctor.
Reply:For this you really need some professional help like a doctor or a dermatologist before it gets worse. It could just blow over but at his age it's important that he gets checked out.

get a facemask, i suggest mint julep masque, you can get it at walgreens, CVS, rite aid, or any other drug store. use the mask once a week. i also suggest buying zitzap (again you can get it at any drugstore, it comes in a small tube.) apply ALL over face. this not only got rid of all of my imperfections, it kept them from coming back. i dont have any pimples but i still use it everyday. then just buy a regular face wash and use it twice a day (morning and night) oh and aslo get a mosterizer and use in the morning.

remember there is NO quick fix to having clear skin. you should see results in about on month.

The skin on my chest and back have started to go numb. Anyone know what's going on?

I am a male, and I am almost 27 years old. I smoke and drink. I have a family history of high cholesterol. My father is a diabetic. I am 6' 3" , 175 lbs. and I am fairly athletic. I don't get as much exercise as i used to, but I do all right. Lately the skin on my chest at the bottom of the left side of my ribs and the skin on the left side of my back, almost in the same spot, has gone numb. It seems to be getting worse every day. Anyone have any ideas?
The skin on my chest and back have started to go numb. Anyone know what's going on?
Can't say for sure, but you sound as if you have a pinched nerve. It is certainly neurological in nature.

Have you had surgery somewhere on your neck or back?

Have you had a sports or car accident even several years ago?

Does the numbness go deeper than the skin?

Have it checked out by your doctor. You might need a neurologist. Just depends on the symptoms. It is more concerning that you think it is getting worse. Worse case scenario, it could be something pressing on your spinal cord.

This does not sound like something that needs the emergency room, but you need to have a neurological exam.

Hair, skin, and nails causes rashes?

well, i am 13 and i was planning on buying the Hair, Skin, and Nails vitamins because i want my nails to be stronger and my hair to grow faster. But then i was reading comments about them and saw that 3 people said they cause rashes and the skin becomes red breaks out. is this true? help!
Hair, skin, and nails causes rashes?
No.. in fact .. i`m on hair, skin, and nails vitamin right now... i take the one called BIOTIN. I started to take it because recently i have a bad hair cut and i want my hair to grow back to the way it used to be (asap). and since i`ve been on it... my nails have been growing really healthy... i mean.. now.. it feels like i have fake ones on.. i can type on the tip of my nails without hurting.. and my skin got smoother... i don't know what other people say.. but the vitamin that i have been taking have a really good effect on me and i WILL keep up with it.

Dry Skin, Dry Scalp...any remedies?

I live in Oklahoma, and winter is especially dry. My poor skin, especially my scalp, is so dry and flaky! Not pretty! My stylist said not to use a dandruff shampoo b/c it's not dandruff, and it will make it worse. She suggeted applying my hair conditioner directly to the scalp. That leaves me with limp, greasy hair!!! I'm getting totally frustrated. Anyone have any other suggestions? Also, any favorite lotions for my skin? NOTE: I am pregnant, so I can't use anything with retinol, or vitamin A, and I don't want to take anything internally that is questionable.
Dry Skin, Dry Scalp...any remedies?
Well, I'd have suggested Vitamin E, but for your note. Pregnancy hormones can have awful effects on skin and hair. One thing you can do is take shorter, cooler showers (I know it's winter, but hot water dries out your skin.)

Also see if you can go a few days between washing your hair - you may need to brush it more to redistribute the natural oils your scalp will produce. I have long hair and my hairstylist agrees that some people, like me, shouldn't wash their hair every day (this myth was started in the late 1950s and early 60s - your grandmother sure didn't wash her hair every day!)
Dry Skin, Dry Scalp...any remedies?
I cannot say this enough times. vaseline, vaseline, vaseline. Trust me. it works, i had the same problem a couple of years ago and vaseline worked!
Reply:TeaTree Oil you can find it in local drug stores or online.
Reply:Once a week use the actual vitamin e capsules open them up and massage on scalp leave for a bit then shampoo with a clarifying shampoo a few times. Eucerin does good but do it twice a day(for skin). Before you go to bed at night and after showers light vaseline to hold moisture in only on your skin. Wear hats out in the cold. Try not taking so hot of showers. And your hairdresser was right you have to get the "right" dandruff shampoo as most cater to oily scalps where it will dry it more. Try using a clarifying shampoo depending on how often you wash your hair to help lift that off and keep your hair lighter and from being weighed down. These are all safe things for pregnancy. Stimulate your scalp more with scalp manipulations and massage. It promotes the follicles to produce more oils and circulation.
Reply:Sulfur8, Vaseline, or Tea Tree Oil can clear your dry scalp in no time. Vaseline and/or Cocoa Butter can cure that dry skin problem in no time.
Reply:Aww pregnancy hair..I remember it well. Sadly there isnt too much to do but i can tell you what I did... Once a week... I put mayonaise on my scalp and hair for about ten minutes... Then washed it out with shampoo... Don't use Conditioner... Conditioner is what stays on your scalp causing the white flakes. As for your dry skin I don't know if they Have Badger Balm in Oklahoma, but im sure they must have some kind of palm.... Stear clear of lotions, you want more of an oil based moisturiser so it repells water that makes your skin dry... Good luck and Happy Pregnancy

Star skin......?

How do all the celebs like Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan %26amp; paris hilton have such great skin?! I dont have much self confidence %26amp; good skin would make alot of differnce! Please can i have your ideas. Thankyou. x
Star skin......?
Make-up and maybe good skin care products. Go have a pro do your make-up and you'll look great too.
Star skin......?
They really don't. You would not envy them if you saw them when they woke up before they put on their make up. Plus a lot of it is digital. It's a fake image.
Reply:Well as far as the celebs go, often their skin is not nearly as perfect as it looks on TV and in photographs (think photoshop). They also have a team of make-up artists that are really good at covering up any imperfections. Also, some of them just have good genetics. I would really suggest going to a dermatologist, they can help you locate products that are right for your type of skin.
Reply:hgujgh
Reply:most stars have the same skin problems as the rest of us. just take good care of your skin: wash, tone moisturize twice a day. besides, why do you think they wear those huge sunglasses that cover their entire face when they're just out for a stroll?

Irritated skin (dry skin)?

my baby boy has dry skin irritated what should i do ?and teethin problems hes 7 months
Irritated skin (dry skin)?
(1)make sure bathing water is not too hot (hot water strips off natural oil/sebum off skin)

(2)when your baby is out of a bath put lotion on his skin immediately.

(3)choose a good lotion--dermatologists recommend no-fragrance ones, try Aveeno or Eucerin (they are NOT baby lotions)

(4)during the day if skin is still dry apply more lotion, be diligent

(5)if it's really red/irritated take your baby to the pediatrician, he might need a topical medication.

You didn't specify what the teething problem is. Try infant tylenol, orajel (might sting though some babies don't like it) for pain.
Irritated skin (dry skin)?
where is the dry skin and what does it have to do with the teeth see the doctor
Reply:My son had very dry skin that he would scratch along with some exzema. The BEST product in the world is Arbonne Baby Care. In two days his skin totally recovered and the redness went away. It's botanically based, all natural, the best to use on baby's sensitive skin. My pediatrician recommended and I have used it non-stop since (my oldest is 4, my youngest is 5 months). If you want a sample of it, e-mail me. It works wonders!
Reply:Don't use scented laundry detergent for his clothes. I found that All Free and Clear detergent works well, isn't irritating, and you can wash the whole family's clothes in it. I'm a huge Tide fan, but the pediatrician said that even the Tide Free and Clear still contains something that irritates most babies' skin, and to avoid it.

Also, stop using scented and colored baby washes and lotions. Use Dove bar soap (the kind in the white and light green box that's made for sensitive skin) and unscented Eucarin lotion.
Reply:I have found that Aveno sensitive skin baby wash works very well for both dry skin and cradle cap problems, it is very mild. For teething Tylenol is best, orajel does not work well and my doctor warned me that it can be dangerous if not used properly, it can numb the throat and the baby can then drown in his saliva if he can't swallow properly.
Reply:Just thought of sharing with you this.

Sensitive Skin & Inflammations?

I have fairly sensitive skin but whenever I get a mosquito bite or something similar I get a big red puffy area where the bite was and after about a half an hr it goes down to a little red bump that lasts a few days.... most people around here u can't even tell they got bit and they don't get the lasting effect I have from the bites. Is there anything I can eat or do to make my skin stronger to these bites or inflammations?
Sensitive Skin %26amp; Inflammations?
I suggest using Aveeno, I also have very sensitive skin, at one point I couldn't use any kinds of lotions or perfumes or body oils, if I did, I had the worst reaction. I also have eczema. A friend recommended Aveeno, not only does it keep my skin moist and evens out my skin tone, but it keeps me from have reactions to any perfumes or detergents that I may use. Im sure it would do the same for you. Use it daily to help your skin and you will definately see improvement in just a matter of days.
Sensitive Skin %26amp; Inflammations?
the person above said a good thing, aveeno is good- try a little hydrocortizone for itching and there's stuff called after bite, for me it works immediately (wal-mart and drug stores should have it) it's a tube shape bottle- to prevent bites don't use sweet or fruit scented perfume, soap or lotion, bugs love that- and off spray (one in plastic bottle) works great %26amp; doesn't stink like chemicals

Why do i get oily skin only at school?

i always get oily skin at school and my skin gets all shiny. it only happens at school. when im somewhere else like on weekends my skin is normal. why do i only get oily skin at school and what are some ways to prevent it?
Why do i get oily skin only at school?
Usually when people are at school they always use their hands to prop up their heads, do you? Think about everything that your hands touch all day long...and then, you touch your face with them as you're listening to some teacher drone about history. All of that oil and gunk goes straight to your face, whereas on the weekends, you're out and about and not thinking so much about holding up your head during class.

Next time your in school, think really hard about keeping your hands away from your face and see if that helps to clear up some of the oil problems. Another great and quick fix are the clean and clear oil removing sheets followed by a powder touch-up. wha-la...oil free.
Why do i get oily skin only at school?
Take your jacket off
Reply:myb cuz u do
Reply:Are u in a public school. A rebublican public school, under the current administration....oil.....get it?
Reply:i guess this is bcoz at school u r in a totally different environment where u need to concentrate in the class, play %26amp; of course those frequent visits to ur locker or just move around. on weekends its a different story as u r normally outdoors %26amp; relaxed.

as for the remedy make sure u dont have too much of fatty %26amp; oily stuff for breakfast or lunch. drink plenty of water %26amp; yes do workout for atleast 15 min ( yoga ).

u will soon see the results for urself.

ps: do take a wash with just water (no soap )during the recess
Reply:I'm not sure, but I have the exact same problem. Do you wear different makeup at school than you do on the weekends or whatever? It could be that, or a difference in your morning face-washing routine, or something of that nature.

Getting rid of Skin Crates in skin.?

So I'm in highschool, and I had acne. It's gotten better, but now I have crates in my skin from where I had my pimples. And I really don't want them there, but I don't think their going to go away! What can I do to stop them from coming, and how can I get rid of the ones I have? PLEASE any idea!

P.S. Are they really called skin crates? or is there another name for them? (that way I can look online for them)
Getting rid of Skin Crates in skin.?
i think they are called acne scars. There are new ways to deal with this- please see a dermatologist for advice- they can plump up the skin in the craters (?) and your skin will look better.

Peeling skin on soles of feet ... help!?

Ello,

Every year when it starts to get warm the skin on the soles of my feet peels .. usually the ball of the toes and accross the top part of my foot but it can be the whole of the foot. It is not atheletes foot - confirmed by doctor. Happened every year to varying extents since I was about 12 (now 22).

Doc I saw said it was cos my feet sweat - I don't think they really do but I know my hands do so they must I guess. He said to soak my feet each night in a bowl of warm water ... will this work? Cos it is disgusting and I hate it and this year I just want to catch it early.

Or would pumicing away this skin and then moisturising be better? I try to leave my feet free to the air as much as possible and always when I am at home. But flip-flop type things aren't always appropriate.

Any info appreciated :)
Peeling skin on soles of feet ... help!?
I pumice... works for me.. there is still a slight bit of pealing but it goes away much faster.

oh and it is from feet sweating.. I wear ballet flats a lot meaning no socks, so my feet get all wet on the bottom and peal
Peeling skin on soles of feet ... help!?
Try gold bond foot cream and powder- works for me. When my feet are really bad, I slather on lots of cream- just about any kind will do in a pinch, and then put on cotton socks and let it soak in. Anything with shea butter is great too.

A good daily skin regimen for combination skin?

I would like to get some recommendations for good skin products to use daily. Cleanser, Toner, and Moisturizer that are pretty decently priced...help please...getting older and skin changin' :)
A good daily skin regimen for combination skin?
My favorite daily cleanser = Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Face Pads. It cleans my combination, sensitive skin thoroughly w/o drying it %26amp; the pads have a textured side that is perfect for exfoliation.

As for toner - Thayer's brand witch hazel w/ aloe is good. I don't use toner very often.

Haven't found the perfect moisturizer. I only use it occasionally in winter.

For product reviews, check out cosmeticscop.com %26amp; makeupalley.com. Makeupalley is a free memberhip site w/ lots of consumer to consumer product reviews.
A good daily skin regimen for combination skin?
nutrogena is a good brand that's not too expensive. if you want to go up a little in price, i'd try clarins. it's great for aging skin.
Reply:I have combination skin (oily T-zone, dry cheeks) and I had the hardest time finding products that worked for me. Until I stumbled upon Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser and Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer. They have a toner too, but I don't use this as part of my regimen. I've used these for about 5 years now and haven't looked back! Buy them at Walmart for the cheapest prices.
Reply:if you get breakouts try noxzema- put on alot so your all white let dry, and then wash off with cold water. i do it just whenver my face gets oily. its not advertised for acne help, but its amazing
Reply:I would like to tell you about some wonderful products for your skin, that would be the RE-9 Anti-Aging line from Arbonne International Inc. It diminishes fine lines and wrinkles, and allows your skin to regenerate in the most natural and healthy way possible. You are able to sign up for a discount and receive 35% off all of your products for the entire year, if you are the least bit curious e-mail me at dionnaclark@hotmail.com, and I will send you some samples
Reply:Why do you want a toner? Think about that. It used to be that toners were used to tighten the skin, and had lost of alcohol in them. Now, of course, we know that the effect came from dehydrating the skin and it was bad for you, but they still sell toners that don't tone and don't really do anything for your skin.

Cleanser, yes. To remove make-up, if you wear it, and get rid of all the particles that stick to our skin after a day inside or outside. I like the cleanser I formulated, and our clients say it's fantastic. Look for it at skinactives.com

Why do I like it? It does not have strong detergents (most cleansers use sodium lauryl sulfate or similar), it cleans deep and keeps pores open, thus preventing acne. You can rinse it off. It contains some good stuff in it, like the best antioxidants anywhere, that will be left behind after rinsing.

For moisturizer, try our Canvas base cream, with or withour sea kelp bioferment. If you really want some serious anti-age activity, try our anti-age cream, with resveratrol, EGF and everything that actually works.

Does it show how proud I am of of our products?

Good luck and best wishes

Dry skin from pimple cream.?

I recently started using this pimple cream called oxy 10, it works well and has cleared most of my pimples, but the label says that if my skin dries excessively, i should stop using it and switch to oxy 5.

How do i know whether my skin has dried excessively? Because my the areas of my face where i applied the cream does feel kind of scaly..

Oxy 10 contains 10% Benzoyl Peroxide, Oxy 5 probably contains 5%.

Thanks in advance!
Dry skin from pimple cream.?
You will be able to tell if your skin is overly dry. You can switch to a kind of Oxy pad with moisturizers, or use your current kind less. Also, take a look at the kind of soap you use to see if that is contributing to any dryness.
Dry skin from pimple cream.?
K i'll try. Thanks! =) Report It

Reply:If your skin dries up and starts peeling like a sunburn, that's excessive dry skin. Benzoyl peroxide is usually pretty mild, even 10%. It usually will cause some drying of the skin, but nothing major unless you've got ultra sensitive skin.
Reply:Your skin will probably be kind of flaky. Don't overuse it.

I've always liked Neutrogena best
Reply:if your skink looks scaly, feels scaly, starts to peel ect. you should switch, you also could just not use it for a day or two and then continue use..............
Reply:You should do a mini patch test to determine your skin type. If you skin is already of the dry type, using benzoyl may makes your skin even more dry.

I have oily skin and dry skin. It's oily in the t-zone but my cheeks are dry. What kind of soap should I used? I break out easy so I have to use almay.
My skin...oily+dry..what to do?
I have problems with my skin too... Seriously...

Super oily... T_T

oily + dry = combination...

The best advice that I could give to you is to consult a dermatologist on what your skin type needs. Because there are a lot of products that varies to different skin types. Also, I tried and tried and tried using LOTS and LOTS of diff. products but I still had a breakout for 6 years. Since then, I went to a dermatologist and she gave me some medications on what product is appropriate for my skin. I followed her instructions and after a few months of maintaining this regime I have arrive to a breakout free skin.. :) Less oily, less pimples... hehe.. =)

Reply:severely dry skin issues and problems can lead to serious, bad skin condition like eczema. serious skin care is a must to have a soft and a healthy looking skin. the best way to keep the skin clean is to be able to stay away form moisture robbers like the sun, dry air and other dehydrating products. keep the skin moist all day and keep it hydrated by drinking adequate amount of water. an all natural moisturizer can be of great help in retaining the skin's moisture and rejuvenating the skin. healthy habits can also pave way to a healthy skin. for more tips on good skin care visit http://www.skinoriginal.com
Reply:Even oily skin needs a moisturizer, but choose a light, watery fluid; this will be enough for your skin. Allow the moisturizer to sink in well and then absorb the excess with a tissue to prevent shine.check out http://tipsfromruby-skincare.blogspot.co...

Light Skin or Dark Skin, What's your preference?

Black men and women are internally divided by skin color. Which do you prefer?
Light Skin or Dark Skin, What's your preference?
I perfer to just have skin, never mind what color it is. Dark, light, very light, very dark, who cares! People should find someone who loves them for more then what color the skin is but for who they are. I do however agree with you, some black people do still care about the degree of color and I believe it limits them. Quick question, if you perfer dark skin vs light skin do you just love what you have and move on, or do you secretly still lust for what you want/perfer?
Light Skin or Dark Skin, What's your preference?
*Shrugging my furry shoulders* While I do find darker skin rather alluring and attractive, I do not base my choices on simply that. Physical appearance is only one of MANY traits that I take into concideration...
Reply:Doesn't matter.
Reply:all of it. the more the merrier.

Reply:I perfer they have healthy skin. What shade they are doesn't matter to me.
Reply:I prefer light brown skin.
Reply:dark skin
Reply:I like a lovely shade of caramel... I think most people are naturally attracted (at least initially) to people who resemble them... but not always.

It would totally depend on the person, I suppose...

Question about dry skin on face?

I haev been using Aveeno clear complexion soap bar(the white bar) b/c it is the only thing that keeps my skin clear. but now that the weather is colder it is starting to dry out and get a lil flakey in some spots. I have tried putting vitamin E on it(made zits) gently using a washcloth(made it rough and more flakey) and scotch tape to just take off the tiny little dry pieces(that actually works) i have tried moisturizers but they just make my skin break out. Is there any moisturizer that wont' make me break out? like face milk(haven't tried that) or anything? would really appreciate it, thanx!

oh and i have normal skin
Question about dry skin on face?
when it's cold my face also get dry. the only thing i can tell you is to use some scrub mask for your face, use (st.ives) to get the dry skin off, and wash your face in warm water. 3 times a day, and use jergens cold cream for your face. i hope you get the results you wany my friend!
Question about dry skin on face?
if you want perfect skin overnight try this.

TRUST me it works!
Reply:I have normal skin too and it goes dry sometimes. I use oil-free moisturiser, normal moisturisers make me break out too.
Reply:Dry skin types have to be extremely careful to protect their skin. Yogurt-honey combination helps dry skin. Make an egg pack with a yolk, a teaspoon of honey, a tablespoon of milk powder. This is beneficial to dry skin types. There are many helpful tips to cure dry skin at http://useinfo-dryskin.blogspot.com/
Reply:Try the original. Just plain ole Vaseline (any petroleum jelly).
Reply:neutrogena moisturizer is really good - it prevents spots and also helps clear your skin of them while also getting rid of the dry flakey parts - i had exactly the same problem and it really helped , the face milk stuff hardly helped at at all hope it helps! xxx
Reply:warm aloe will hydrate you without breaking you out. skin needs to be hydrated with water, if not it produces more oil and with all that dry skin clogging you pores you'll get more zits! trust me aloe rocks
Reply:You need to approach this from within rather than using a moisturiser. Make sure you drink plenty fluids, cut down on salt and cut out caffeine (i.e. cola, chocolate (sorry!), coffee and tea), so your insides are wet and your skin should become less flaky. Also, up your intake of various oils like flax seed, evening primrose oil and eat lots of hoummos, tahini and sesame seeds. Having said that, my skin is really flaky but i found it went away almost at one when i went to Rome, which has a hot, humid climate, but got worse when i went to Madrid, which is hot but dry.

You might be breaking out with moisturiser because of lanolin. You may find this hard to credit, but actually a lot of skin creams have urea in them, and i doubt you could bring yourself to do this, but my wife puts fresh urine on her face and it has made her skin perfect when previously she had a disfiguring skin condition. I know it sounds disgusting but it really works.
Reply:You should use the Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula, its a good treatment for winter weather dry skin.
Reply:do not use Vaseline! it will make your skin feel gross. i promise you. and it doesn't really wash off until it soaks in. i know something to help. use the Clinique Clarifying Lotion (astringent) number 2 and then apply their moisturizer. i always had clear skin in the first place but using that my skin has not felt so much smoother or clearer!

Reply:use mashed avocado with ground almond as a facial mask-scrub...otherwise use kalamansi juice(small green lime) mixed with honey to dry-out your acne and moisturise your skin at the same time.

but most of all, wash your face more often and have a proper good sleep.

Sometimes, lack of sleep causes outburst and avoid too oily food because it makes your pimple/acne worse.

Aloe vera gel mixed with 2 drops of tea tree essential oil works really well and has been shown in studies to improve acne. Doing scrubs is not good for acne at all because it irritates acne so I use warm oatmeal with a little bit of honey to exfoliate which is more gently. A french "green" clay mask works very well also. I started using a papaya mask a few weeks ago and I now have a great glow and less acne!! It removes impurities from deep within and your acne may get worse before it gets better using the french clay.

Papaya mask/exfoliant

Cut the papaya in 1 inch chunks. Blend/mash 2 or 3 chunks and store the wrest in the freezer. Apply the blended/mashed papaya and leave on face for 10-20 min. Use 2 or 3x a week.

The papaya may tingle but that just means that the papaya is working and it is breaking down dead skin cells to give that lovely glow and since it breaks down the dead skin it clears out the pores and in turn they shrink!!! (You may not see the results you want until you use it for a while.)

You should try an organic cleanser. (You can get them at a health food store.) I use a herbal astringent recipe from "The herbal body book" by Stephanie Tourles which you can get cheap on half.com. Works really good and is so soothing. Use a oil free moisturizer or emu oil (http://www.daybreaklavenderfarm.com/stor... at night on your face, neck and chest. (Emu oil doesn't clog pores and won't cause more acne. Promise!! I use it) Try taking vitamins A, E, D, C, B5 vitamin %26amp; Zinc. Also eat healthy lean meats, fresh fruits and vegetables. Boxed foods and fast food will make it so much worse!

If you are on a tight budget try this.

Cleanser: baking soda or sea salt.

Toner: Organic green tea, peppermint tea, chamomile tea or aloe vera gel.

Moisturizer: 1/2 cup water 3 tsp. vegetable glycerin and 5 drops lemon essential oil or oil free moisturizer.

Mask: (use 2 or 3x a week unless you have dry skin.) French "green" clay removes impurities tightens and tones skin. (You can use overnight as a spot treatment also.) Leave on for 10-20 min or until dry then rinse and moisturize.

Papaya mask/exfoliant

Cut papaya in 1 inch chunks. Blend/mash 2 or 3 chunks and store the wrest in the freezer. Apply the blended/mashed papaya and leave on face for 10-20 min. Use 2 or 3x a week.

Exfoliant: (use 2 or 3x a week unless you have dry skin.) Warm oatmeal mixed with a little honey. Leave on skin for 5 minutes then rinse and moisturize.

Blackheads: Baking soda mixed with water into a paste and then add tea tree essential oil if you'd like then scrub the affected are 2-3 min. Or apply elmers glue to affected are let dry and peel off like you would pore strips. Works really well!

Daily as a morning toner/moisturizer you can use 1/4 tsp. aloe vera gel mixed with 2 or 3 drops of tea tree essential oil. Works really well.

My skin!!!?

My hands have rinkles, well small ones. My skin is kinda dark at the top of my body and lighter towards the bottom. My face is shinny and it dont like it dat way. I want my skin to be moist but not shinny. I have acne and i cant seem to get it off. I am using the neutraguna pades 2 in1 and its not working. I need a better way!!!
My skin!!!?
Use a natural product, try Natural Sea Beauty by L'Oreal it did wonders for my skin....the girls are jealous!!!

http://www.bodycarebymg.com
My skin!!!?
use Colgate mint toothpaste
Reply:use plain rubbing alcohol, it removes the dirt, dries up the oil, and leaves your skin 'naked', revealing a natural moistness, as for your skin color, get some sun on those legs!! but try to stay away from the selftanning lotions, they dry your skin out and make you look orange, you may want to try a vist at the local tanning salon that offers 'spray on' tan, it last for a couple of weeks, and it is healthier for your skin too

My skin, your skin?

Does anyone know how to get clear smooth skin for a girl and getting rid of dryness, especially on my face, I usually get dry and flaky near my eyebrows or my nose and I HATE IT.

any advice??

also how to I get some smooth soft hands and legs especially the feet because I'ts showing some cracks and I put lotion and it doesn't work??? What kinds of things should I put on it that WILL ACTUALLY help?
My skin, your skin?
Wash your face morning an night with a gentle, non-drying facial wash, exfoliating once or twice a week and using a facial moisturizer morning and night should help with the dryness. Neutrogena has a great line that's gentle, non-greasy, hypo-allergenic and non-comedogenic. If your acne prone, you could try Neutrogena Oil-Free Anti-Acne Moisturizer; it will help clear up your face and moisturized it too.

For softening hands, my favorite lotion is Aveeno Oatmeal Lotions. Oatmeal is a great skin softener and it really works. Nivea and Jergens are my second choices.

For softening both your feet and hands, you can apply Vaseline or Bag Balm (which is also an antiseptic) and wear cotton socks and gloves to bed. In the morning your hands and feet will be really soft and it will help heal the cracks.
My skin, your skin?
we all scream for ice cream yeeee haw.
Reply:I always get dryness too it totally sucks! For my face, I use olay face lotion. For my hands and legs, I use bath and body works pink grapefruit body lotion. It works for me, especially when winter makes ur skin more dry!
Reply:I have tons of advice for you. I'm into face creams and lotions so I've tried them all and found the ones that work best:

-for your face use any Neutrogena Face Scrub (I use the citrus one or the one with invigorating microbeads.) It is oil-free so it does NOT clog your pores more. Actually, I have found that is stops my breakouts and I get totally smooth skin. Even though i guess it has to be a little drying to get rid of acne, my face feels really moisturized yet oil-free!

-for legs use Neutrogena hand cream. The hand cream is super thick, so even though it is for your hands, it works great on legs too! Use a dime size, it is soooo soo strong!

-dry skin runs in my family and I actually found one cure for my horrible dry skin. Burt's Bees Coconut foot cream is really strong and heavy it feels like you have sealed up the skin on your feet, now that's strong! Put it on right before bed and wear socks so the lotion stays on and works better.

Good luck!%26lt;3
Reply:Exfoliate and moisturize. There's no secret.

My puppy's skin?

Well, I've asked a question about her before, but this time I know what breed she is. Wednesday is a Chow mix Chocolate Labrador Retriever, almost 3 months old. I've noticed this little spot on her back, which it showed up just recently. I didn't think much of it at first, because when I noticed it I knew that in a few days I would be bathing her, anyway. Well, Mom and I just thought that she rolled around in something and got it stuck in her fur, which made her skin show in this one place. I just bathed her, and there's nothing in her fur. I whiped the skin down and she's dryed off. It's nothing that's not supposed to be there, it's her skin, but it looks like it was swolen. Now, the other day one of the outside dogs, which is the only slightly aggressive dog out there, was watching her run around and play with him as usual. She got near his bowl, and he won't do this to humans, but he usually just snarls at her. (Hang on, I'll add more in More Details)...
My puppy's skin?
Bring her to the Vet to make sure that it is not something serious. I had a German Sheppard and Husky mix, she had a similar sounding skin condition before but it was auto-immune disease. Piece of her fur would come off and she would have open wounds on her skin.

Fortunately for your case it just sounds like Wednesday is being bullied. She should be monitored around the other dog for now. It's probably because she is very young and he fells that he can bully her. I would bring her to the Vet anyway just to make sure.

Good Luck
My puppy's skin?
If she's not sensitive to you having you hand near the spot, she should be ok. But since it's close to her backbone, I'd take her to the vet for an exam-just to be safe.

It's probably just a puncture wound that's healing, and if that's the case, the vet can give you some antibiotics to put on it.

How long for skin to fully heal after mole removal?

I've had a mole removed back in September. It took about 3 weeks for the "hole" that was present to fill in. However, today (almost 3 months later), the new skin is still reddish.

How long will my skin take to return to its original color (ie how long does the skin take to FULLy heal after a moles is removed)? Or is this is as good as it's going to look?
How long for skin to fully heal after mole removal?
like a month or 2 (maybe even three )
How long for skin to fully heal after mole removal?
NOT MORE THAN A WEEK....
Reply:Everyone heals at different periods of time but the reddish will go away. There are creams etc you can get at the pharmacy section to help speed up the scarring and healing process.
Reply:When moles are removed on the back, the scar might look pink and slightly elevated. It will be reddish in the begining. Because we use our backs often (well always) the skin does not really heal as the rest of the body does. It can take up to 3 years for the scar to become lighter and less visible. But it's better than the mole - which can give skin cancer. Ask a friend or relative to apply vitamin e cream often as possible - this will increase the speed at which it will heal.
Reply:I also have my 2 moles removed located just beside my nose, The healing period differs to every individual. In my case, the healing period was 2 weeks, I also have red scars but my cosmetic surgeon prescribed me contractubex cream(for keloid scar) which i applied on the affected area 3 x a day for about 3 weeks, and it works on me. But for you to be assess properly, please see a dermatologist or a cosmetic surgeon.
Reply:Are you Diabetic ? It takes longer to heal if you are one.usually the scar turn white depending on your skin color. If you are fair it is unnoticeable but if you are dark skin it becomes lighter in color.if it is reddish it is still fresh and not healed inside. For faster healing have yourself inoculated by Immuglobolin. Ask your doctor first about these.

OMG Please help, skin problem?

I have been for a while, peeling off skin from my nose with a tweezer, because when i wash my face, it dries up and is noticable (very noticable).anyway, it always makes my nose red, having a sharp tweezer plucking at my skin, well, this sucks. It got REALLY bad a few days ago, i guess i was just being extremely self concious, i usually use a exfoliant scrub to help, well i rubbed hard i guess made my nose real red. Next day, i sat there for one hour (no joke) peeling skin off (once again, yuck) little pieces that kinda stick out. I can put on a moisturizer, but basically, its still there. looks like cuts all over my nose (horrible looking i think) now, and i wont even show my face in public, its disgusting. OMG, im in the Army, i didnt go to my Army program today, and i wont go to my drill january 6th because of this... What should i do! Ohh my freaking god, it is pissing me off. Neosporin? Stay inside for a while? NO PICKING AT ALL? Plenty of fluids? HELP PLEASE I AM IN MENTAL AGONY
OMG Please help, skin problem?
you shouldn't pluck at your skin...it'll just make it worse. I've been using 'cocoa butter'...it works really well!. You need to get the right quality though. Some are useless. I recommend 'Alba cocoa butter, hand and body lotion. Yes, i know it's not meant for your face but it works like a charm. Use it twice a day, once in the morning and once at night.

And remember, don't use too many products at once. Too many chemicals will only make it worse. Use two at the most.

good luck...and remember, stop plucking! It'll heel in it's own time. If the cocoa butter isn't effective, i suggest you LEAVE IT and let it take it's own time.
OMG Please help, skin problem?

Reply:ok..first CALM DOWN.

so dont pick at it

use a moisturizer

then the skin will fall off

porb the next day

it is less painful and better

dont use scrubs or astrigents for

a while too coz like

they dry up your skin

and only use a GENTLE CLEANSER

and you'll notice results

Pig skin in candy?

Hey...i heard that gummy bears have pig skin in them. what other candies have pig skin within?
Pig skin in candy?
if you mean gelatin, a meat by product. yep, many gummy candies are going to have that in them, not necessarily made from pig skin, though.
Pig skin in candy?
why do you want to know?

is it a religious matter?

if it tastes good and a million people eat it what do you care....or is it that you word the question to be rather gross to insult us.

yes it has gelatin in it ,,,good right,,, and fun.

Tan skin, dying hair red? w/ pics!! opinion/advice wanted?

This is the color of my skin and the way my hair orginally was dyed: http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r151/...

This is now the cut of my hair:

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r151/...

my hair has now faded to this:

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r151/...

I have to dye it often to keep my hair from fading.. i wanted it an ash brown/ash blond color. but the red in my hair keeps coming back. I don't like the color it fades to, and i want something different. So, i thought maybe i could give into the red, and go auburn. like this color:

http://www.teenscenemag.com/photos/beaut...

Opinions/Advice:

1. Would it look good/ go with my skin tone?

2. Would it be easy to dye and manage?

3. If so, How many times would I have to dye it?

4. Any other suggestions.
Tan skin, dying hair red? w/ pics!! opinion/advice wanted?
Honestly, you look really orange - it seems unnatural.

Easy to dye, easy to manage but not easy to upkeep. That red fades really quickly, I have used it myself.

Probably would have to dye it every 3 months or so which can be a pain.
Tan skin, dying hair red? w/ pics!! opinion/advice wanted?
just be yourself. dont try to look like anyone else. learn to love who you are.
Reply:I don't think it would go good with your skin tone. I am a red head and I have always wanted tan sin but the auburn isn't the color for u. Maybe a dark brown color. Hope that helps :)
Reply:I think your hair color looks really pretty the way it is, even though it is hard to manage because your real hair color keeps showing up. I think the color you want is going to be a bad mix.
Reply:I think that color would look really good with your skin tone, but red seems to fade faster than other colors. I used to dye my hair blonde/brunette/aubergine and the aubergine (dark red) would be the first color to fade. Good news is it faded to a brunette-like color so it wasn't bad.

I'd say you should give it a shot, and if it fades quick just cover it up with a medium brown.
Reply:bleach your hair then dye it
Reply:I like the color of Lindsay Lohans natural color
Reply:I love it! You look like a sexy Oommpa Loompa. That is HOT!!
Reply:I think that the auburn color would look fine with your skin tone, in fact if you had really light skin I would say be careful with red. Since you have red tint in your hair already it should be easy to dye and keep up with it. Get a kit that can do you roots after you get it dyed so that you just have to touch up the roots. I don't think you will have the same problem with dying it soo many times if you go towards more of an auburn color.
Reply:hey,

1. you're skin tone is really nice but it def wouldn't look good if u dyed ur hair hair red. it's too rich and dark. i would go for a different shade like auburn. so basically red and brown but the red shouldn't be too dark and the brown shoukd overpower it a little, maybe with ash blonde highlights.

2. it would be quite easy if u go to a salon and have it done there, i'm sure u could do it urself too but u would have to find the perfect shade.

3. i'm not sure sorry.

4. i would def recommend ash blonde highlights.

good luck!
Reply:r u sound confuesed but you no what u want am a hair dresser so i would think that that colour would look fab on you i like reds , and as for it fadeing colours will always fade the best way to keep it looking shiny an new the first time you colour would be 2 use a permanant tint as you get regrowth do your roots in permanant tint 4 the time required an at the same time do your ends in a semi permanant confusein i know in the mean time yous anti colour fade shampoos and stuf like that. good luck
Reply:I think that your hair would be good dark red or brown. Do not go light with dark skin. Not pretty!

Sun burn? elastic skin?

This past weekend, my friends and I took a trip to Destin, Florida for vacation. I used a sunblock on my face, but I must not have applied enough. Sure enough, I got sunburned on my forhead and nose. I have a facial scrub that said it removed dead skin. So Monday, I was back at work and realized I began to peel. I went home and used my skin scrub to remove the skin. Now, I have a tough, elastic layer on my forehead where the sunburn had been. It feels like I am having a hard time moving my eye brows. It looks aweful. I was just wondering if there is anything I can do to fix it. Lotions? oils? or should I just wait and let it heal its self. I am willing to go to a dermatologist, if I must.
Sun burn? elastic skin?
Try a lotion with vit.E %26amp; aloe. Should help re-hydrate your skin a lot quicker. I'd personally wait a little while before using the scrub-you don't want to wind up with scar tissue! I deal with sunburn every year as I have SUPER fair skin (and red hair)... this method seems to work best for me with minimal lizard look!
Sun burn? elastic skin?
try dipping your head underwater then taking a apricot scrub(soap with little grits) and scrub it on re face sure it may peel but atleastt u dont have to wait a m onth for it to heal
Reply:Buy an aloe vera stalk, fresh, and use the liquid stuff in it to heal your skin on your forehead..

Good skin whitner?

my skin color is geting darker how can my skin get fair.
Good skin whitner?
Put on some sunscreen before you go out in the sun. I recommend Banana Boat sunscreen. It's not greasy and works alright. I use it everyday. If you don't like using suncreen lotions, you can get the spray-on sunscreen (also by Banana Boat). Comes in an orange bottle. Especially useful for people on the go.
Good skin whitner?
stay out the sun
Reply:Wear sun block and limit exposure to the sun if you can.
Reply:Dark skin is beautiful :)

I have fair/pale skin and it is no fun.
Reply:Wtf would you wanna make your skin paler for!? Kinna weirddd not gunna lie.
Reply:Stay out of the sun, use some homemade herbal face washes.. like for example, lemon and honey .. it works well..
Reply:y would u want lighter skin?

stick with the dark tan-ness
Reply:My friend is into the Gothic Lifestyle and she uses this to lighten her skin. It really works too!!

http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh...
Reply:Are you going down the same road as Michael? I would honostly I would learn to love your skins... if you start whiting it you will be doing that forever.
Reply:Stay out of the sun. Skin whiteners aren't meant to lighten dark skin. They're for removing dark spots left by acne.
Reply:stick yourself in a dark room and don't come out 4 3 months
Reply:shahnaz hussein makes some good lightening creams. I can honestly say they've worked for me. Other than that stay out of the sun or limit exposure.

In some Asian cultures (Indian off the top of my head) fairer skin is prized over darker skin. That is why some people would like to have lighter skin. Anyway even if it doesn't work, dark skin is just as beautiful. I stopped useing the cream because I'm happy with the way I look. Skin is skin =)
Reply:r u naturally tan or have u been tanning? b/c if u r tanning just stop and it should gradually fade away back to normal( mine does) but If u r naturally tan leave it that way b/c idk y u would want to change it. I'm pale and i hate it but some people say that pale is elegant and tan is trashy but w/e.
Reply:for good skin whitening tips , open http://www.onlybeautytips.blogspot.com and there` open the green color links for best tips and homemade recipes to get a glowing skin too
Reply:hmm try a fading creme called ambi -- its found at most west indian stores it is supposed to lighten up the pigment of your skin and make it more toned.. it comes in a white and red tube!
Reply:i have a feeling the person who posted this question is an asian. caucasians dont really care for white or fair skin, they prefer tanned skin tones. only asians care for fair skin as it symbolises beauty and a fair skinned woman is supposed to be more beautiful over a tanned woman. women especially in the philipines, indonesia and india are always looking for products that lighten and whiten skin.
Reply:The use of the term "fair" skin will never cease to amaze me.

Because you need to believe that skin can be "fair," you must need to believe that there is "unfair" skin.

Accept, and use, the word "pale" because that is what you truly are, and wish to be.

Is there any other part of your personality that pales by comparison....

What is my skin type?! and what kind of toner should i use?

Im going on 16. i have basically quite rough skin with quite many blackheads on my nose and recently *gasp* on my cheeks. I thought my skin used to be dry but now its abit oily when i touch it (more oily on nose) and especially oily when i put on moisturizes and night cream. so is it good or bad now? Also, i only used to have pimples on my T-zone but now its more concentrated on my cheeks. help. is there something wrong with the products i use or is it just puberty? Does your skin type actually changes?

Everyday, i only use an exfoliator, cleanser and apply moisturiser straight away. will my acne problems be solved after i use a toner?

Im quite sceptical about toners as my friend says some can worsen your face? Is is better will no alcohol and how do you see if you have large pores. Thankyou!
What is my skin type?! and what kind of toner should i use?
You have combination skin which requires a special cleanser you can buy one at the chemist ask there advise you want go wrong, remember you will grow out of teenage years soon enough and your skin will thank-you for taking extra care, wash off any makeup your wear before you go to bed at night and all ways (do not) repeat (do not squeeze them blackhead's) or you will end up with scares enjoy your teens your only young once
What is my skin type?! and what kind of toner should i use?
You sound like you have combination skin: Oily around your nose and cheeks, and dry elsewhere.

It's probably just puberty, as you guess. Keep your face clean and it should clear up.

Good luck!
Reply:You didn't state what brand of products you are using.

1) If you are broken out,, DO NOT EXFOLIATE.

2) Use all the same product line. Lines are made to work together. If you use different ones they can actually react to each other %26amp; cause problem with your skin.

3) A big mistake people have in skin care is using too strong of products, which irratate the skin causing break out. Using products for the wrong skin type.

4) Always use a fresh clean wash cloth(daily) on face %26amp; not one you use on your body.

5) Make sure you change bedding regularly

6) Keep hair clean..it might be allergy to hair products breaking you out too.

A toner helps close pores %26amp; cleans off cleanser residue, but use one that is for you skin type. It may be different in the winter than the summer.

Yes, your skin can change. Hormones, Time of year, Food we eat. lack of rest %26amp; stress, all contribute to changes.

Hard Skin on Heel of the foot?

From wearing bad shoes or probably walking badly I have rough skin at the back of the heel. Any idea how I treat this, do I go to a specialist? Its not veruka, just rough skin
Hard Skin on Heel of the foot?
Soak feet then use a pumice stone. Body shop sell a brilliant peppermint foot lotion and not expensive
Hard Skin on Heel of the foot?
You need to buy a Pumice stone.

Cheap if you buy from your local supermarket
Reply:Pummice stone will get rid rough skin
Reply:Use old fashion mineral oil soak in warm water to open the pours and massage in mineral oil daily
Reply:cover the skin with vaseline then put on a pair of socks, just before you go to bed. In the morning you should have lovely soft feet.
Reply:Garnier Foot Cocoon is what you need, its a cream specially designed to soften hard skin. It's also very cheap.

Good thing about this product is you only need to use it at night so you wont be slipping around all day if you use it in the morning cause you dont have too.
Reply:Buy a pedicure kit from boots or of the internet, you can rub a cream in, then scrape it of with the tools in the kit. Its ugly isn't it...... that or do what I do, Go get a nice Pedicure from the parlour, treat yourself and have a pamper day.
Reply:This is a very common complaint -Use a foot file then a softening balm
Reply:Lots of lotion..At night you can put vasoline on your heel lots and sleep with socks on and the next day use a foot file (they have them in the beauty isle in like walmart) And file it away or you can take a bath soften skin and file it away thats all and lots of lotion.
Reply:um wear good shoes?
Reply:there are different foot creams you can use. first soak your feet in warm water with a foot moisturizing solution for about 10 minutes. then you have to rub the hard skin off with a foot scrubber ( feels very sandy). once you have done that you can apply the foot cream and leave it on untill it dries off. you will need to do this often because you will not see solutions right away. you can get all this in AVON.
Reply:That's normal. It's just cause by walking everyone has it. You'll get it no matter what shoes or sandals you wear. You don't need to go to a doctor to fix it. Just go to the drug store or any beauty supply store and buy a pumice stone. I keep mine in the shower and whenever I feel my feet getting too rough I grab it the stone, wet it and rub it on the rough spots. Your skin will become nice and smooth.

If you want to pamper yourself a little bit, go get a pedicure. They will do this for you and then you can see how it's done.
Reply:Lisa T is right, I did this for a few days and it worked great. Also in the morning after you shower put some vaseline or lotion on your foot before you put your socks and shoes on so that your will stay soft.
