So my face is very oily. I wash my face daily with a moisturizing face wash and moisturize only a small amount. I would like to find a product that helps out with this. I have ultra sensitive skin and usually breakout when trying new things.
Also I would like to know about makeup wise. I don't use foundations because I find them looking fake. I use a loose powder on my face and thats it. My skin is clear, just oily. I don't find that blotting during the day helps either. Any suggestions?
Oily skin question?
i have oily, sensitive skin and find that the cleansers that work best for me are Avon Anew Retroactive+ 2in1 cleanser/toner ($12) and Merle Norman Foaming Cleanser Normal/Oily ($19). i use a light moisture lotion for sensitive skin after, and an acne-fighting spot treatment on the occasional blemish.
make sure to look for products that are oil-free, non-acnegenic, and non-comedogenic. these are the foundation formulas i have tried and liked and lasted on my oily skin even through the hot florida summers...
mark powder buff foundation $8
avon perfect wear extralasting $10
revlon colorstay $12
clinique superfit $20
merle norman lasting $26
clarins truly matte $35
they all have pretty extensive color ranges, and can be found all over the US. the first is a powder, and the rest are liquids. you can always "set" a liquid foundation with powder, as well. also, make sure to blot away excess oil with oil-absorbing sheets like clean %26amp; clear $5.
Oily skin question?
Clean and clear have oil pads that you can wipe across your face all throughout the day, and it wont remove your makeup. They also have shine control facewash.
Reply:I'm so glad to hear you are still moisturizing even tho you have oily skin - so many people w/oil are afraid to add moisture! But all skin needs the moisture (water) even if it doesn't need more oil. Make sure your face wash and moisturizer are specifically for oily skin.
Have you tried the mineral foundations? They might be a good foundation b/c they'd help w/the oil.
There are also oil-control products, which you'd put on before any foundation, so you could check those out. Good luck!
Reply:Make up wise try BARE MINERALS!!! i have the same prob, try Clean %26amp; Clear shine reducer, and their oil pad things
Reply:Check out Avon's ANEW products and try the mineral makeup
Reply:i have very oily skin as well and mine is sensitive because if i use a cleanser that is over powering my face gets super dried out and breaks out. i use clean and clear advantage oil free acne moisturizer and i know that you dont have acne problems but there are many other moisturizers by c%26amp;c that you can use. it got rid of my t-zone area when i use it every night. Bc lotion makes my face look shiny i use it at night before i go to bed. i also use c%26amp;c sensitive skin cleanser. also make sure you wash your face two times a day. when you wake up and go to bed bc if you wash it many times it causes your skin to react and over produce oils that were washed away.
Reply:Ashley, I like aularale.com/7002's moisture balancing skin care system for my oily, sensitive skin. I use the masque 2-3 times weekly along w/vitamin c serum to control the oiliness. The foundation is water based and matches my tone so perfectly that it looks/feels like I'm wearing nothing. Eat more fresh fruits/veggies and drink more water than you now do. Stay away from fried, greasy foods.
Reply:Even oily skin needs a moisturizer, but choose a light, watery fluid; this will be enough for your skin. Allow the moisturizer to sink in well and then absorb the excess with a tissue to prevent shine.check out http://tipsfromruby-skincare.blogspot.co...
