The skin around my eyes are so dark!?

in pictures the skin around my eyes on my eyelids are browish orange. my skin is olive. why does that happen? and also what can i do to lighten the area?
The skin around my eyes are so dark!?
1. For great looking eyes make sure to use powder shadows for a natural look and a eyeliner pencil for drama at night. Make sure the liner has a smudge tip at one end to get that smoky eye look. Only line the top of the eye is you're looking tired. You don't want to bring more attention to dark circles under the eyes. Neutral tones with a hint of color are flattering on everybody.

2. For sheen on the eyelids, dab a bit of Vaseline for a pretty reflective quality, as well as moisture.

3. Open up the eye with a gold/beige shimmery high lighter onto the brow bone.

4. Don't throw away cash on an expensive eye makeup remover! Find a pretty glass bottle and fill it with baby shampoo.

5. If your cream eye shadow dries out, use a few drops of water or mineral oil to soften it up again.

5. Potatoes, like cucumbers, will reduce the appearance of dark, under-eye circles.

use this product called "ligthen up plus"

I use it and it works great.

I only sleep about 4 hours a day, thats why i get dark circles.

The answer below mine is also good-- when you do test out products at a department store-- especially mac-- go outside and look before you buy....
Reply:MAC concelaer. go to the counter with no makeup and ask them to apply it for you. Then go outside with it (before you buy) to see how you really look.
Reply:what u could do is use teabags after they have been steamed and put them over your eyes to eliminate dark undereye circles. you could also use strivectin to maximize your results. also, get plenty of sleep(8-10 hours max)!
Reply:try using a bit of concealer, thats what i do and it relle works!!
Reply:i think that it is eye bags...you should probably sleep a wee little bit more longer and see if it works!it happens cause you don't sleep well enough.you can try using lancome's powder number43 and see if it works too!
Reply:Probably dark circles or bags, we all have them, I suggest a good concealer, such as Mark concealer, there's is magic, and physican's formula has some really good concealer's that you can get at drug stores. Also try benefit cosmetics, they have awesome stuff, they have concealer and a brightening lotion that totally works wonders on your skin! I would use a concealer during the day and a brightening lotion at night while you sleep, that's what I do!!! Works wonders!!!
Reply:The best thing to do is to go to a drugstore and buy NYC Yellow pencil. Apply the pencil on the lower part of your eyes and you will be amazed of the results-
Reply:There are 2 possible resons for dark cirlces

~The skin around the eye area is the most fragile and the thinest of all our skin which means u can easily see capillaries and veins etc...the darkness is blood under the surface of the skin...dark circles also has a lot to do with heredity and the only product that has actual results shown to help is from Chanel and is called EyeTonic. It actually helps to "thicken" (for lack of a better word) the skin in the eye area which means less dark circles for u

~Another possibilty is ur using the wrong color and texture of concealor for your skin. Or maybe ur not using any at all. Find a concealor with the right undertones so you do not get weird casts of brown and orange

*Try and get lotz of sleep (i know don't we all wish)

* Also try using a brightening product over the concealor to lighten the area
Reply:I've read excellent reviews on Yves Saint Laurent Concealer/Highlighter. I haven't had the money to buy it and wouldn't be sure what shade to buy but from all the great reviews on Amazon, I think it's worth a try.
Reply:I have the same problem

the skin under your eyes is thinner then any where else thats why its dark, but people say that you need a brighter cover up or foundation then you normal would buy and put just under your eye with a gernerous amount then rumb it in. Hope this helps!
