Dry skin and salicylic acid??

hello! i'm currently using salicylic acid of clean and clear!! i heard that this is bad for dry skin and its true that my skin looks scaly in the forehead!! what should i do! should i use little or should i use a only a few times in a week or should i stop??
Dry skin and salicylic acid??
use fruit of the earth aloe when it gets flaky...

i woudnt use saliciyc acid at all.

use Purpose Gentle Facial Wash.

It's perfect. Then put a thin layer of aloe on if its dry, or a benzoyl peroxide cream such as Clean %26amp; Clear persa gel 10 if its not dry.

It'll work miracles...
Dry skin and salicylic acid??
I use Neutrogina advanced solutions and it has salicylic acid in it and it cleared up my skin, yes my skin was dry but not forever only for like a week or so. I would keep using it but buy the lotion or face moisturizer that goes with it.

Flawless skin?

I have some acne, large pores, and my skin is a bit oily but it can get dry if I dry it out. I need my skin flawless by tommrow. ANd i know this sounds a bit extreme but, Its my wedding. Is there any homemade facials, things that you can drink , ANYTHING at all that could diminish and atleast make my promblem better tommrow? THANK YOU!!
Flawless skin?
I agree, make-up is your best bet with sucha little amount of time. If you are not getting a make-up artist to do it for you, I sugget that you sneak away for an hour today to go to the nearest department store with a make-up counter and ask for help. They will sell you what you need and teach you how to put it on. BTW, Drink a lot of water today and stay away from greasy foods! Congrats and Good Luck!
Flawless skin?
Have you considered makeup? o_O
Reply:for your acne- put toothpaste on your pimples over night, they will be gone by tomorrow morning

for ur pores- biore pore minimizing cleanser (it will also make your face not so oily)
Reply:You could goto a spa and get a facial..drink a lot of water..get some sun..wash your face with warm soapy water and compress your face with warm water then hold an ice pack over your acne and buy some benzoyl peroxide and cover the affected area over night
Reply:I have a homedics face steamer and it prevents me from getting acne and it cleans my pores out so my face is clear, and you can make your own homedics face steamer by sticking a pot of water on the stove and let it boil and when the steam comes out put your face over the pot and you will start to sweat to get all the impurities out of your pores and your face altogether.....
Reply:For blackheads (if you have any) try the biore nose patches things :)
Reply:I've had problem skin growing up. It sucked because no matter the brand of cleansers and washes I bought at the store, they NEVER helped (Neutrogena, Clearasil, Clean and Clear, Proactiv and even higher end stuff that cost $30-$75). I used to have red spots all over my face that were from previous pimples and even when my skin was clear my skin still looked like crap and it looked like I still had acne. Until I found Alpha Hydrox on drugstore.com! I swear by this regimen! I can guarantee you'll see results with these products and they're all on drugstore.com. Wash only once a day with all this stuff, at night, and within a week you'll see change. I felt so helpless with my skin until these products.

Alpha Hydrox Nourishing Cleanser, Biore's Triple Action Astringent (I love this stuff. It's the only toner that's ever helped my skin), Alpha Hydrox Fade cream (this will make your skin really red for a little bit after applying it, but it will go away. It might even sting/burn slightly for a couple minutes as well but that will go away within a few days and it's totally normal), and end it with an oil-free moisterizer WITH SPF and Alpha Hydrox has some that's good and so does Biore. The active ingredient in the Fade Cream makes your skin sensitive to sunlight so you have to use a moisturizer that has SPF or your face will go red when you go outside. The Fade Cream is $11 but lasts for at least 2 months. I know this is long but I know how you feel and I really think you'd benefit from this stuff. Good luck! Fair skin /Dark skin ?

Why are some people's skin colour dark and and some others' fair? Plz let me know friends plz.
Fair skin /Dark skin ?
The pigmentation in the skin is different with each person. Some people have a lot of pigmentation (black people) and some have very little (white people).
Fair skin /Dark skin ?
The fair skinned people usually lived in areas that the sun wasen't there much. There skin didn't produce that much melanin because they didn't need much protection from the sun. The darker skinned people usually lived in areas where the sun was present alot so there skin produced more melanin(causes skin color) to protect them from the sun. So it all depends from where the person originated.

edit: nope i've learned this stuff many times

and its adaptation and evolution and a VERY long time that made them this color not a 20 minute tan
Reply:Maneenee is wrong. A people's place of birth or origin is not a factor here. I have friends from Germany who are black-skinned and from other lands where black skin is a rarity.

It is true that the reason for the tone is melanin which determines a person's pigmentation or skin-colour.

If the sun had anything to do with it, all fair-skinned people who burned their bodies to a crisp hoping to become tanned or dark-skinned would never have to do it twice. They also risk causing themselves skin cancer.

Red skin around very small popped pimple?

] I know i'm supposed to pop, but i did %26amp; i need a little help. After i popped the pimple i noticed red skin around the pimple.. Its gone down a bit in the last 15 minutes, but how long will it take the skin to go back to normal around the popped zit. It was very tiny so please do not say a week, i'm pretty sure thats to long.

Thanks alot!
Red skin around very small popped pimple?
give it a few hours

it should go back to normal
Red skin around very small popped pimple?
just give it a few more hours and see what happens. in the mean time, dont pick at it or touch it bc you could make it worse and the dirt/oil on your fingers and under your nails could possible spread it and whatnot.
Reply:it could be a while. neosporin helps alot!
Reply:About an hour depending on the size, which you say is small. My mom always tells me to put ice on it right after to prevent swelling, bring down the redness, and decrease the size of your pores so you don't get an infection. Try some ice and the redness may go away quicker.
Reply:The reason "they" tell you not to pop a pimple is for the very reason you've discovered: it damages the skin. Now, you have a tiny wound. It will now take longer to heal than it would have if you'd left it alone.

The best thing to do is to wash your face VERY regularly, and keep it clean. Use a washcloth, warm water and good soap or cleanser. If the pustules are ready to break (and they have to be READY), they will do so when you rub your face gently with the washcloth.

Even so, if you clean the area and perhaps put a dab of Neosporin on it before you go to bed, it should be fine in the morning.
Reply:In eighth grade I had pretty bad acne covering my forehead chin nose and under my nose. Since I've gotten proactiv, and started doing a lot of research on acne, they say popping pimples is the worst thing you can do. Because when you pop a pimple puss and what not comes out, then even though you think you got it all off that nasty stuff clogs the pores around the pimple you popped, and bam you got new pimples. The red you see around the pimple is just inflamation and irritation. It will go away. But just remember next time you pop a pimple, it causes more acne and can leave permanant scarring. Hope I helped. Oh, and just clean that part of your face well, don't let it get infected. Again, Hope i helped.

Reading the persons answer above me, don't put neosporin on it, you can't treat it like a regular wound.

Thumb rule: don't put anything on a wound you wouldn't put in your eye.

My skin has been way itchy. I have tried caking on the lotion and that is not helping.?

I just moved and I think it may be the change of atmostphear that is making my skin so dry and itchy but the thing is that I cant find a way to avoid the itchy skin. At this point I will try any home remedy.

I suggest you see a skin doctor. Different skin have different ways for remedy. Do not try the wrong ways which you are allergic to and this will cause your skin to become worse.
Reply:use gold bond lotion
Reply:Benadryl or calamine lotion until you get to a doctor to find out the source.
