Dry skin, SOS!?

Ok I have really dry skin on my legs. It gets worse in the winter time, I end up itching my legs until I bleed so every day I have to wash my sheets because of the itching I do in my sleep. I have tryed different lotions but nothing seems to work! How can I stop the itchy skin. Its summer now so I want to be prepared for winter! Any answers are appreciated!
Dry skin, SOS!?
When you get out of the shower, while you are still wet, apply lotion or oil to you skin. Blot, not rub, your skin until it is just damp.

Allow your skin to air dry.

The water helps seal in the moisture. There are lotions and body oils that are meant just for this purpose.

Then, before you go to bed, apply lotion to your legs.

Baths are more drying than showers because you stay in the water longer. Shower with warm, not hot water and use mild soap.

Hope this helps.

a nice oatmeal bath with mousturize and soothe.

aveeno oatmeal bath packets work wonders for the dry itchies.
Reply:believe me this will work, its called Udderly Smooth Udder Cream, you can find it in most pharmecys or stores...go to www.uddercream.com.
Reply:Do yourself a favor and look up Psoriasis. I didn't know that I had it, but after all the itching and all the creams out there on the market, I asked my physician what I could do to help it. He gave me a steroid cream called Topicort. It works great, especially in the winter when itching season starts. Just a thought :)
Reply:I would suggest showering before bed, and applying a lotion meant for itchy skin, right after you get out of the shower while your legs and skin is still damp, this will help the lotion soak into your skin better and keep them moisturized through the night so they don't itch. Also try using a body wash with lotion in it. I know olay has a bunch of good ones out there, also Johnson and Johnson makes some good ones. This way your sure to really keep you skin moisturized.

Personal experience, I used to do the same thing!
Reply:If your skin is a dry, and you are bothered by it, I suggest you try using Zenmed Sensitive Skin Care System from Zenmed or Autopalm from Skinstore.com

Zenmed has no side effects and it's non-irritant to the

skin. It's proven to works fast and it povides Maximum

results! It's certainly a good lotion to prevent further

outbreaks.

Another product that I think is effective is Autopalm. This

dry skin mlm is one of the best seller at skinstore.com now.

(Skinstore.com holds more than 10,000 skin care products) It's pretty effective, and worth the dollar paid out.

Reply:If it's worse in winter it's probably a sodium lauryl sulfate sensitivity. Really really common.

Check the labels on your soap, shaving lotion, lotion, shampoo. Get rid of anything with sls.
