Dry skin help me!?!?!?!?

I have combanation skin, and I am prone to acne. I started using a salicic acid face scub at night, and that got rid of the acne. But now I have major dry skin!!! What can i do? I use a moisterizer, but an hour after I use it my face is as dry as the Sahara again!!! What can I do??

you should put lotion that agrees with your skin.... Something like lubraderm or Johnson Johnson lotion....... You only need something to keep your face hydrated, an oily face can cause acne. oh and drinking water daily would help.

your skin probably got irritated by that acid stuff and probably still is irritated keep using the moisturizer a little bit longer but if you feel its doing nothing i think you should go to a dermatologist.

Reply:Try Aveeno moisturizers. They are meant for sensitive skin, and I have had several doctors tell me they are wonderful products. I would recommend a particular one, but there are several different versions depending on your skin type and needs. I do love the Ultra-Calming Moisturizing Cream, though. They say to put it on at night, but when my skin is particularly dry, I use it in the morning, too.

Reply:I also had very dry skin. I have learned to NOT use soap on my face. I wash my face with warm water each morning when I get up and before I go to bed at night. Then I apply a moisturizer with some sort of sunblock...it doesn't have to be a large amount. Now I don't have as dry skin anymore.
